Information Design

Bing Bang Data was the 1st International Conference in Data Visualisation. It was organised for the University of Chile inspired on the overproduction of data generated after the Chilean earthquake in February 2010. The conference was held in Santiago de Chile on Saturday, July 3 2010. Christian Oyarzún, Sheila Pontis (Online conference via London), Paulo Saavedra and Rodrigo Duarte gave conferences, and a discussion panel also was part of the event.

Sheila Pontis was invited as an information designer and explained the differences and applications between information design and data visualisation.
